Little Pea Can by Ickle Pickle
A Fun Pocket Effect For Street Performances & Small CrowdsLittle Pea Can by Ickle Pickle is a fun, easy pocket effect that you can use for a walk-up street performance or playing to a small crowd. It really plays well for comedic acts, and warmups that let you get a read on a small crowd. It really lets you get a barometer on who is an easy laugh and who in the group might be a bit of a skeptic that needs to be turned. This is actually a returning trick that Ickle Pickle previously discontinued. Though it’s now back by popular demand!Performing The Effect With Peas and BeansLittle Pea is also very easy to practice and perform, which makes it a great gimmick for novice performers that want to add to their craft without having to invest a lot of time and money. You ask your chosen spectator or volunteer to select one of three presented items. Either a pea, a white navy bean or a banal-looking piece of un-popped popcorn. If you prefer, all three can be put inside a small “Magic Peas” container and stopped on top by a large cork. You then ask your spectator or volunteer to hold out their hand and concentrate hard on which if the three items. This is a good time in the effect to add some dramatic or comedic flair to the act of concentrating. When you are ready, you open up the container and say, “You were thinking of…the pea!” and then instantaneously pour Water out onto their hand!
